Brit-Indian nursery nurse faces jail for hitting toddler with Hopper

London, May 18 (ANI): An Indian-origin nursery nurse in Coventry, Britain, could end up in jail for hitting a two-year-old boy over his head with a Space Hopper.

Twenty-two-year-old Nisha Rani's blow with the bouncy toy had left the toddler crying, and sprawling across the playground, The Sun reports.

She had reportedly targeted another boy by pushing him off a mat, saying: "This will be funny."

Rani, who was found guilty of assault by a city magistrate, was sacked.

One student who had witnessed the act said: "I've never seen anything like it." While another said Rani pushed the boy off the mat because she probably 'didn't like the boy.'

Rani, however, denied assaulting her students saying she was shocked at being charged because she "really enjoyed working with children." (ANI)
