Lahore, May 8 (ANI): Pakistan's spin legend Abdul Qadir has criticized Pakistan team for their 10-wicket defeat in the final match of the one-day international (ODI) series against the West Indies on Thursday.
"No one could expect such a appalling performance against such a weak side and I was flabbergasted at the batting collapse. If I compare the weight of winning the series with the 10-wicket defeat, they are equal," The Dawn quoted Qadir, as saying.
The former chief selector also criticized the performance of captain Shahid Afridi, who made just 28 runs and claimed only two wickets in the series.
"Against such a low-ranked team the performance of the all-rounder is pathetic," he said.
Qadir added that he had already advised the Pakistan Cricket Board hierarchy to give maximum chances to the juniors in the West Indies series, while giving the seniors complete rest. (ANI)
