Cabinet sanctions additional money for CWYG

New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) The union cabinet Friday approved the release of additional funds of Rs.435 million for the Commonwealth Youth Games (CWYG) scheduled to be held in Pune Oct 12-18.
The central government would be making available total funds of Rs. 1.10 billion to the CWYG Organising Committee for the Games.

This is in addition to the funds made available by the government for 'City and Sports infrastructure' to Maharashtra.
The approval of the additional funds is being done for the efficient and successful conduct of the Games.
The CWYG will have nine disciplines -- Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Weightlifting.
