Iceland Foreign Minister arrives on nine-day India visit on Apr. 25

New Delhi, Apr 24 (ANI): Iceland Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ossur Skarphedinsson, will embark on a nine-day visit to India beginning on Monday.

 

Skarphedinsson will arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here at 9.45 a.m. on Monday.

 

The visiting Minister is expected to meet Minister of State for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh at the Paryavaran Bhawan around 2. 30 p.m. tomorrow, which would be followed by a meeting with Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah at the CGO Complex.

 

He will then meet Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahai at the Ashok Hotel around 6: 30 p.m.

 

The Iceland Foreign Minister will visit the Rajghat on Tuesday morning to pay his respects to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

 

He will then meet Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, which would be followed by a meeting with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna.

 

The visiting Minister will on Tuesday evening attend a meeting with Governing Body of the Indo-Icelandic Business Association.

 

He will emplane for Srinagar on Wednesday morning to attend a programme there.

 

Skarphedinsson will emplane for Delhi on Thursday morning and later depart for Agra in the evening to attend a programme there.

 

He will attend a programme in Agra on Friday morning and then come back to Delhi from where he would leave for Mumbai to attend another programme.

 

The Iceland Foreign Minister will attend a programme in Mumbai on Saturday morning and then fly to Goa on Sunday morning to attend another programme.

 

He will fly back to Mumbai on Monday morning to attend another programme and emplane for London on Tuesday afternoon. (ANI)
