London, April 22 (ANI): Manchester United and David Beckham have topped the Forbes magazine's rich-list.
Beckham has been declared the highest-paid player owing to his recent endorsement deals with Pepsi and Electronic Arts, reports the Independent.
His earnings in 2010 were estimated at 24 million pounds, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo's 23 million pounds and Lionel Messi's 19 million pounds.
United, on the other hand has been ranked the most valuable team at 1.12 billion pounds, ahead of Real Madrid (900million pounds) and Arsenal (700m pounds).
This is for the seventh consecutive year that United have topped the Forbes list beating Real Madrid and Arsenal at second and third positions respectively.
Club Barcelona has dropped to fifth place with German side Bayern Munich leapfrogging the Catalan team.
AC Milan is the highest-placed Italian side on the list falling in sixth place with Juventus in eighth and Inter Milan at 10th spot. (ANI)
