NDA assents Advani as Prime Minister Candidate

National Democratic Alliance giving a thrust to the next Lok Sabha election gave green signal to Bhartiya Janta Party’s president Lal Krishna Advani for the Prime Ministerial candidate on Tuesday.

The meeting held at New Delhi was attended by leaders and Chief Minister of nine states where BJP is in power.

The message was clear and loud to all the allies of NDA to gear up for the upcoming election to make certain to recoup power. A resolution was passed in the meeting where a decision was taken to contest the next election on a common agenda of governance, also the most out of the ordinary part of the resolution passed by the convener George Farnandes was not to take the controversial issues like uniform civil code, construction of Ram Mandir and abolition of special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

The resolution said, “The NDA shall continue to seek the wise, visionary and inspiring guidance of its chairman,” and relaxing the conjecture of choosing the new chairman, the resolution mentioned Atal Bihari Vajpayee to continue serving the post of chairman.

Advani inquired the party members to prepare for the success in the impending elections scheduled this year.

The meeting was attended by all alliance except Mamata Benerjee led Trinamool congress, to which the coordinator for expanding the NDA said that only the time will tell whether TC continued to be the part of NDA or not. The meeting also sought on expanding NDA.

Advani while describing Congress and UPA said that the alliance is an opportunistic alliance; he also highlighted the contradiction among the leaders of UPA.

He asked to ensure “Congress suffered the worst defeat in its history,” and stressed that NDA’s agenda will be to focus good governance, weeding out corruption, development and internal security.

Advani was chosen as the Prime Minister before the Gujarat Election by BJP, the party seems to ride high on spirit after the recent victory in three states including Punjab, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh where BJP earn the power.
