New Delhi, Mar 30 (ANI): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways will inaugurate a workshop on "Consideration of Road Safety in Design of Road Projects" here tomorrow.
The conference is being jointly organized by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Indian Roads Congress (IRC)
With the advancement of technology, the most developed projects undertaken along with the real estate are the massive road building projects. But while new roads are being built, faster and faster automobiles are being invented in high numbers make road safety a crucial question.
Road safety is emerging as a major social concern in the country. The workshop is being organized to overcome from such issues.
The workshop will cover the themes: Approach to road safety during design, road safety audit- accident mitigation measures, safeties in work zones on road projects and Innovative road safety devices.
The technical sessions of the workshop will aim at providing a common platform to the highway Engineers. Planners, concessionaries, consultants, contractors, research organizations, manufactures to exchange their knowledge in consideration of Road Safety in Design of Road Projects.
The deliberations and outcome of workshop will address the consideration of road safety construction of road projects in rapid road construction activities.
The workshop is expected to be attended by many experts from all over India. (ANI)
