New Delhi, Mar 28 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is expected to meet the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, this evening to clarify the findings of the Shunglu Committee report that has held her government directly responsible for losses amassing upto Rs. 280 crores.
According to reports, Dikshit is expected to meet the Prime Minister at around 7 P.M.
The V K Shunglu Committee, appointed by Dr. Singh to probe into charges of corruption in various projects related to the 2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG), in its second and third report submitted on the Games Village and the city's infrastructure has indicted Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejinder Khanna and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, among several others, for delays and losses in projects related to the 2010 Games.
Sheila Dikshit, however, on Friday had said that her government was studying the report of the Shunglu Committee that probed alleged irregularities in the conduct of the 2010 Games.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been demanding Dikshit's resignation over the findings of the Shunglu Committee. (ANI)
