Chandrababu Naidu says efforts are on to forge Third Front
Hyderabad, Oct 1 (ANI): Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said efforts are still on to forge a third alternative of both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) despite some recent setbacks.
"We want a strong alternative of the Congress and the BJP. We have formed the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) but some parties like the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Samajwadi Party have left us.

But we shall continue our efforts to make the Third Front a reality," Chandrababu Naidu asserted.
While referring to Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) General Secretary Prakash Karat's statement that efforts to constitute the Third Front were given up at least till the next elections, Naidu said: "Right now some of the non-Congress and non-BJP parties are working with each other and our efforts will continue to form a front," he said.
He further added that this could happen either ahead of the next general elections or afterwards. (ANI)
