Liz Taylor planning tell-all from beyond the grave

London , Sun, 06 Mar 2011 ANI

London, March 6 (ANI): Elizabeth Taylor, who is struggling from congestive heart failure, wants her life story in her own words to be published after her death.

The actress, who was married eight times to seven men, has kept detailed handwritten diaries since being signed by MGM for 61 pounds a week in 1943 as an 11-year-old child star after her breakthrough role in Lassie Come Home.

"Every important event, thought and feeling she has ever had is contained in those diaries, which have been added to and stored in a bank vault for decades," the Daily Express quoted a close family friend as saying.

"Her express wish is that they are published when she is gone as an enduring legacy to an amazing life and career.

"She has always regarded the diaries as more precious than any of her other possessions, including her fabulous collection of jewellery," the friend said.

And the 79-year-old actress has stipulated that all profits be donated to her AIDS foundation.

However, Taylor has left strict instructions as to how her thousands of diary entries should eventually be edited.

"There are key sections she doesn't want boiled down in any way, shape or form. Among those are page after page of her heartfelt feelings for Richard Burton, who she still considers to be her soulmate for all time," the family friend said. (ANI)
