London, Feb 2 (ANI): Kate Middleton and Prince William are not planning to invite some celebrities who were expecting to attend the Royal wedding.
The guest list of 5000 doesn't include Sir Paul McCartney and Dame Helen Mirren, for instance.
The couple will limit invites to family, friends and people playing a direct part in their public and private lives.
"William and Kate have agonized over who to invite. They have drawn up a list of roughly 2,000 people they feel should be there," the Sun quoted a royal source as saying.
"There's no room for the great and good you might normally see at society weddings."
The Lord Chamberlain's Office has prepared a separate list of 3000 people for politicians, public figures and foreign dignitaries.
However, few famous faces at London's Westminster Abbey on April 29 are likely to include Elton John and David Beckham - both friends of William. (ANI)
