Praharaj is new Director General of Police of Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Sep 30 (IANS) The Orissa government has appointed Manmohan Praharaj as the Director General of Police (DGP), a senior official of the state home department said.
A 1976 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Praharaj last served as a director in the state intelligence department since November 2003.

Praharaj, 54, took charge from the retiring DGP Gopal Chandra Nanda Tuesday. Nanda had been in office since November 2007.
