He does not know how to run a government. He does not respect Governor and keeps saying that Siddaramana always visits Raj Bhavan (official residence of state Governor) and blames that the Raj Bhavan has become the office of Congress' agents. He should understand that if something goes wrong in the government, being the opposition leader it is my duty to inform the Governor. He is a shameless Chief Minister."

STORY: Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yeddyurappa, chief of India's southern Karnataka state, is shameless, said the provincial main opposition Congress party on Sunday (January 30).

Addressing a huge rally in provincial capital Bangalore, Siddaramana Hundi, Leader of the Opposition in the provincial Assembly, slammed state chief Yeddyurappa.

"Yeddyurappa does not have brain. He does not know how to run a government. He does not respect Governor and keeps saying that Siddaramana always visits Raj Bhavan (official residence of state Governor) and blames that the Raj Bhavan has become the office of Congress' agents. He should understand that if something goes wrong in the government, being the opposition leader it is my duty to inform the Governor. He is a shameless Chief Minister," said Hundi.

Hansraj Bhardwaj, Governor of the state, sanctioned the prosecution of Yeddyurappa in a land scam case on a petition by two lawyers. The lawyers have filed graft cases against him.

Yeddyurappa has been accused of misusing his post to allot state-owned land plots to his kith and kin as well as other acts of nepotism.

The state government has ordered a judicial probe into all land transactions over the past two decades but its report is awaited.
