Robbie Williams' life to be turned into West End musical

London, Jan 26 (ANI): Take That star Robbie Williams's life will be turned into a West End musical.

Sally Greene - who owns London's Old Vic theatre and has a 25 per cent stake in Billy Elliot The Musical - has started auditioning for two "Robbies".

The singer has also approved permitting his solo material to be used.

"Robbie is bang up for the musical and thinks it will be a fun production. He loves West End shows and is honoured they will be doing one about his life," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

Robbie will have plenty of stories from his turbulent pop career to fill a musical. He joined Take That as a cocky 16-year-old and experienced the highs of being in the UK's biggest boyband as well as going on to become a huge solo star.

Robbie's won more Brits than any other artist and sold 1.6million tickets for his world tour in one day during 2006.

He's also shifted more albums in the UK than any other British solo artist in history and played a part in the UK's biggest-selling album of last year when he rejoined Take That to record 'Progress'. (ANI)
