SRK gets 'Raees' fever to 'Dil Hai Hindustani' (TV Snippets)

Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS) Superstar Shah Rukh Khan will soon become part of singing reality TV show "Dil Hai Hindustani" to promote his forthcoming film "Raees".

With contestants from Russia, Brunei, New York, Rajasthan, Punjab and elsewhere, the show brings together singers from across the globe. The Star Plus show is judged by singer-composer Shekhar Ravjiani, filmmaker Karan Johar, singer Shalmali Kholgade and rapper Badshah.

"Shah Rukh is coming to promote 'Raees' and will shoot for the episode tomorrow. It will go on air around January 26," said a source from the channel.

In the film, Shah Rukh essays the title role of Raees, a bootlegger. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, "Raees" also stars Nawazzuddin Siddiqui. It is slated to release on January 25, 2017.

Shah Rukh will also be visiting the "Bigg Boss 10" set to promote the movie.

Bhavna Pani visits Ajmer Sharif Dargah

Actress Bhavna Pani says visiting Ajmer Sharif Dargah has changed her life for good.

Bhavna, who is seen in "Queens Hain Hum" on &TV, says she feels thankful to whatever she has in personal or professional life.

"It was a bliss visiting the Ajmer Shariff Dargah. It's the best feeling ever and having got that chance to go visit such a beautiful and holy land has got me to feel very thankful to life as having working on the show 'Queens Hain Hum'," Bhavna said in a statement.

She added: "I am thankful to the team of the show to have given me this much needed break."

It's Lohri time at 'Waaris'

After taking viewers through a lot of ups and downs, makers of "Waaris" will have the audience witness a few lighter moments through Lohri celebrations.

Aarti Singh, who essays role of Amba in the &TV show, said the entry of a new character Jai, played by Ashish Kapoor, will add more fun to the sequence.

"The current track on the show has been filled with a lot of drama and we are making it a little light hearted by celebrating the festival of Lohri. With Jai's entry, the show is all set to see a new twist. I am sure audience will love the upcoming track of the show," Aarti said in a statement.

Cricket mania on 'Thapki...' sets

It's cricket time for the cast of TV show "Thapki Pyaar Ki". The show's female protagonist Jigyasa Singh says it was the first time she tried her hands at cricket.

In the upcoming track of the Colors show, the audience will be witnessing some cricket-related drama. Jigyasa was at first nervous, but her co-stars Manish Goplani and Sehban Khan came to her rescue and taught her how to play.

"Working on 'Thapki...' has taught me many things and one new talent that I add to my list is sportsmanship. Since my childhood, I have always been into cultural activities but this was the first time I tried my hands on cricket, which is one of the most popular sports in India," Jigyasa said in a statement.

"I would like to thank Manish and Sehban for letting me have a ball of a time while playing cricket," she added.

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' shoot gets stalled

Shooting for a particular ring exchange sequence on the sets of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" took a while for the crew to pull off as the rings went missing.

"We were all set to roll when in between the shot the actors realised that the ring boxes given to them were empty," said a source close to the show.

The source added: "There was an immediate chaos on the set because we had to shoot the sequence and had a lot of things planned around it. Each and everybody present on the set of the show started hunting for them. It took us about 45 minutes to finally find the rings, after which we resumed shoot."

At present, the current track focuses on wedding of Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik (Mohsin Khan). The show is aired on Star Plus.
