Sony Brings Out New Xperia Smartphones - Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact

Love the Sony Xperia series? Then you are sure in for a treat as the smartphone maker has recently announced its two new flagships under the Xperia series - the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact.

The two smartphones have raised great enthusiasm amidst smartphones users and everyone is eagerly waiting for the devices.

Well, let us here check out what all features these devices would bring in.

Sony Xperia XZ

Successor to the highly admired Xperia X, the XZ series is said to have better upgrades in terms of performance as was seen in Xperia X. The new device lays its primary focus on vital features including the design, camera, and the battery life.

The device is gearing up to be the pioneer of man features like the novel signature design which has a looped surface earlier seen in Lumia devices. Also, it brings along a fresh color - the Forest Blue.

It is made of branded material ALKALEIDO - another word for round aluminum piece that happens to be nice to touch and is stain resistant. Talking about other features, the Xperia XZ comes with 5.2" IPS display, having a 1080p resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 chip coupled with 3GB RAM, stereo speaker, high-end connectivity, along with 32GB storage which as per reports can be further expanded up to 200GB through a microSD card. Its USB Type-C has stronger adoption rate. The device follows the brand’s legacy and features to be a water-proof device.

Coming to camera, Xperia XZ has 23MP camera primary camera at the back which has f/2.0 lens. Sony has also developed an IMX300 sensor, which provides new-fangled autofocus system. The device’s camera is capable of using color and phase detection to calculate distance in the approved manner.

XZ has 2,900 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Sources reveal that Xperia XZ will be launched in the initial weeks of October and would be available in the shades of Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum. The price is expected to be something around €700.

Sony Xperia X Compact

Next in line is the Xperia X Compact which has some features similar to the XZ but then it is a smaller model. Like the name hints at, you’ll find X Compact as the Compact version of the Xperia X.

Xperia X Compact is powered by Snapdragon 650 chip and has hexa-core processor. It has 3GB of RAM. The device sports 4.6" 720p display. The device has 23MP Sony IMX300 sensor which has the Triple Image Sensing tech that calls for color, laser detection and phase. It even has SteadyShot Intelligent Active Mode which helps in stabilizing the picture in five diverse axes. You will also find it decked with the novel camera app which has manual shutter control.

Unlike the XZ, the X Compact will not have provision for 4K video as the device has 13MP selfie camera, but X Compact sports 5MP front camera.

It also has USB Type-C port along with the adaptive quick charging overnight as it is facilitated with the Quick Charge 2.0. This compact version which takes its traits from both Xperia X and Xperia XZ, is expected to be priced around €500. It will be launched in the coming week, ahead of Xperia XZ ad would be available in the hues of White, Mist Blue and Black.
