New Delhi, Mon, 19 Sep 2016 NI Wire

All the loyal admirers and followers of Samsung can breathe a sigh of relief and cheer for the latest update. The latest buzz states that Samsung is geared up to resume the sale of its Galaxy Note 7. And let us highlight that this new unit is not merely a refurbished version. In fact, Samsung has gone for major changes and it’s a whole new unit of Galaxy Note 7.

Reports state that first sale would initiate in South Korea, and will gradually expand to other countries inclusive of Indian smartphone market.

The Fall

It is notable that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was launched on August 2, 2016 amidst much fanfare, and it was released on August 19. The device came as the successor of Note 7 with far better upgraded version.

Right from the launch to release, Galaxy Note 7 was in high demand and pre-orders were simply breaking the records in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. There was a shortage in supply in South Korea which even caused a delay in the release of Galaxy Note 7 in other countries. And before the device could even reach the Indian subcontinent, reports of a fault in the battery started surfacing.

There were reports coming from South Korean market that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 batteries were catching fire, which even led to many accidents. Many people reported of the battery catching fire and them landing up with burns and injuries.

But Samsung came on the damage control mode very soon. It took the voluntary decision of recalling the Note 7 device from the market on September 2. Samsung clarified that it was due to a manufacturing fault in the battery which was causing extra heating leading to explosion.

New Galaxy Note 7

Things have turned good now as Samsung has reported that Galaxy Note 7 device is now free of the battery problem, and it is available in an all new model. The South Korean tech giant also added that they have made some software patches which allow the battery charge to its full latent thus fixing an accounted bug. This bug was earlier blocking the device’s battery from getting more than 30% battery juice.

So, the new Galaxy Note 7 smartphones featuring the updated will be released on September 28, when the sale would commence.

Well, we can say that everything is good that ends well. And here Samsung has indeed been very quick and supportive. The smartphone giant did receive negative comments and lost on a lot of profit too. Samsung not only recalled the current stock, it also put a halt on further manufacturing and even compensated the existing Note 7 users. It did everything to maintain the brand image and provide proper assistance to the problem so widely reported.

At the time when everyone was expecting Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to take over the newly launched Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus - the battery problem had ruined the show.

But with Samsung’s quick damage control, we can say that Galaxy Note 7 is bouncing back into the competition. It wasn’t really written off as everyone was indeed waiting for the device to reach market soon. Though the past negativity may have a wrong impact on the sale of Note 7 but it can all change if the device actually lives up to the claims as made, after all the software updates that have been made.

Let us hope that Note 7 will now have a smooth run in the market. Stay tuned to this space to know every detail about Galaxy Note 7 and its re-launch.
