A New Govt. Liquor Shop Gets Opened Under Kejriwal Regime Every Month

Govt. Denies Existence of Only Women Liquor Shops though they can be found in several corners

New Delhi, 9th August: Delhi BJP Media Incharge Praveen Shankar Kapoor has said that Kejriwal Government has no intention to curb growing tendency of consuming alcohol or other drugs amongst the youth. In fact since Kejriwal Government came to power the number of liquor shops in Delhi have gone up from 368 to 385 with an average of one new getting added every month.

Shri Kapoor had filed a RTI with Excise, Entertainment and Luxury Tax Department dealing with the licenses for liquor shops, restaurants, pubs, night clubs & farm houses serving liquors to know about the licenses issued for serving liquor to such places in Delhi and shockingly the departments reply says that the information sought does not pertain to their department.

Similarly, in a query about women special liquor shops licenses the department has said that they have issued no license for any such shops though in several Malls of Delhi we can find wine shops with tags only for women.

The first only women liquor shop with women vendors selling liquor started functioning in East Delhi in October, 2015 under Kejriwal regime which in the RTI reply has feigned ignorance on it.

Shri Kapoor has said that Kejriwal regime has opened one new Government Liquor Shop every month during its regime. More and more Pubs & Night Clubs are opening and yet Kejriwal Government shamelessly claims to work on keeping the youth away from the influence of alcohol and drugs.
