New Delhi, Mon, 29 Aug 2016 NI Wire

The world of smartphones never ceases to surprise use. While on one hand we have high-end premium devices decked with amazing features, on the other we have a wide range of budget devices too.

And now, we have the ultra budget devices also. Last we had heard of Freedom 251, which was touted as the cheapest of smartphones. Now, it seems that Freedom 251 has a competitor.

Reports state that a new smartphone is gearing for release in Indian in the first week of September and this one is predicted to be cheaper than Freedom 251. Named ChampOne C1, the smartphone will go on to be the cheapest smartphone to release.

Let us here have a look at the ChampOne C1 and see what all features will this device has to offer:

Features & Specifications

ChampOne C1 is said to come with 5.0-inch HD IPS screen with (1280x720p) IPS screen and 294 ppi (pixels per inch) along with a fingerprint sensor. It will have MediaTek quad-core CPU with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, expandable up to 64GB. The smartphone will run Android 5.1 Lollipop.

As for camera, the device will sport 8MP main camera, and for selfies it will house a 5MP camera on the front, with LED flash, HDR, auto-focus. The smartphone has 2,500mAh battery. The device will offer the 4G-LTE network. Additionally, it will also have dual-SIM slots, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB v2.0, A-GPS. The draftee smartphone-maker ChampOne India has assured to offer the ChampOne C1 for just Rs. 501 through flash sale, which is set to take off on Sept. 2.

This update however has made many suspicious also, and the concern is over the genuineness of the company's claim. It's too liberal offer which does reminded us of the Noida-based Ringing Bells' marketing deed for Freedom 251 launch that happened in 2015.

Sources further added that on the company’s official website, it shows up that the offer price of Rs 501 is only applicable for the flash sale. Once the flash sale is over, the device will be available for Rs. 7,999.

Almost certainly due to enormous demand, the registration page of the ChampOne C1 crashed on Sunday and it is at a halt under repair. It will allegedly be back online in 24 hours.

The claims and features sound exciting but as buyers, you must be careful before investing your money. Check for the latest updates before taking the final call in regards to ChampOne C1.
