Will Samsung Release Its Galaxy C5 & Galaxy C7 In India?

South Korean smartphone giant, Samsung launched the first two series of the C family, Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in China recently.

Ever since the release, speculations have been high about the devices getting released in the Indian market also. Firstly, it was believed that Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 were meant for Chinese market only but they recently got Federal Communication Commission (FCC) certification, which hinted that they will be launching in the United States also.

If the devices get released in US, launch in India becomes a certainty. However, the success of the devices in Indian market would entirely depend on the price. As known, Galaxy C5 costs 2199 Yuan (roughly $335/Rs. 22,500) for its 32GB variant, and 64GB model costs 2399 Yuan (approximately $365/Rs. 24,500). Galaxy C7 costs 2599 Yuan (roughly $396/Rs. 26,600) for 32GB model, and 2799 Yuan (approximately $427/Rs. 28,600) for its 64GB.

Samsung is yet to reveal the price for Indian market and if go by sources, it would be nearly around Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000. RTN website claimed Galaxy C5 will cost around Rs. 26,000, and Galaxy C7 would come for Rs. 30,000.

The release is still under doubts, but we can surely get to know of the details of C5 and C7.

C5 At A Glance

Galaxy C5 sports 5.2 inch screen and is backed by octa-core processor and has two models, one with 1.5GHz and the other with 1.2GHz.

In terms of storage, the device has 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal memory. Moreover, in terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy C5 sports a 16MP primary unit and 8MP front camera. It is powered by a 2,600mAh battery and comes with the quick charging feature. The device weighs 153g and measures 145.9 × 72 × 6.7mm. As for software, it runs the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is available in gold color as well apart from the regular shades Samsung devices are generally available in.

C7 At A Glance

The Samsung Galaxy C7 is seen under the model number as SM – C7000. The device as seen in the images online sports a 5.5 – inch Full HD capacitive touch screen display with screen resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has the dual SIM service from Samsung which allows it to connect with 4G LTE.

Furthermore, it comes powered by Octa – Core 1.5 GHz Cortex – A53  processor which is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled by Adreno 506 GPU. The new Samsung Galaxy C5 comes pre-equipped with the most recent and best ever Android v6.0.1 – Marshmallow OS.

With these amazing features, it proves you necessary functionalities like This EDGE, GPRS, GPS with A – GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB. In terms of color variations, Samsung Galaxy C7 is going to be available in three distinct colors: Gold, White and Black colors. In terms of battery, the device will have 3250 mAh of Li – Ion removable battery.

At storage front, the device is packed with 4 GB RAM and 16 GB and 32 GB of two dissimilar variants of internal memory. Both variants will have card slot that would allow expanding the internal storage up to 128 GB. The Galaxy C7 works on three carriers; GSM (2G), HSPA (3G) and LTE (4G).

Enhancing your camera experience, this new device comes with 16 MP of primary camera which has 4128 x 3096 pixels of camera resolutions and is backed by LED Flash for improved picture quality even in low light.

For selfies, it has 5 MP of front shooter with LED Flash. Both of its cameras can record HD videos with clarity.

Coming to the price, Samsung Galaxy C7 is going to be available at a price tag of 1,799 Yuan (roughly $276 / Rs. 18400).
