Year 2016 is close to reaching its first half and Bollywood has some super entertaining movies lined up. In the first half we were treated to a mix genre where we had patriotic flicks like Airlift & Neerja followed by light hearted yet message oriented films like Kapoor & Sons, Ki & Ka among others.
A similar lineup is waiting in the other half too but before we explore that, let us here give you an insight of the movies set for release in June. After all, movies are indeed the best way to beat the summer heat & enjoy some fun time with our loved ones. So, let's check out what all Bollywood movies we'll get to see in June 2016.
1. Housefull 3
The month will open with the laugh riot Housefull 3 - the third installment in the highly popular Housefull series. The film will hit the screens on June 3, 2016. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sajid-Farhad, Housefull 3 stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Riteish Deshmukh and Lisa Haydon in lead roles along with ace actors Boman Irani and Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff and Johnny Lever. Like the previous parts, this one sure is going to be loaded with hilarious one liners and punches. If you've been longing for a comedy dose, don't miss tpp watch Housefull 3 at a theater near you on June 3!
2. Te3n
After the much needed comic dose, we'll be treated with the much awaited thriller - Te3n which stars the iconic Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role along with Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and will hit the screens on June 10. The trailer of Te3n has created much curiosity and people are eagerly waiting for the film. If you're a fan of thriller films, don't forget to mark June 10 on your calendar.
3. Cabaret
Cabaret will take you back to the retro era with its classic set up reflecting the good golden era. The film is a romantic dance drama directed by Kaustav Narayan Niyogi and produced by Pooja Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar under Fisheye Network private limited. Cabaret stars the powerful Richa Chadda in lead role alongside Gulshan Devaiah and S. Sreesanth. The movie will release alongside Te3n on June 10.
4. Do Lafzon Ki Kahani
Do Lafzon Ki Kahani stars Singham fame Kajal Aggarwal and Randeep Hooda in lead roles. It's produced by Dhaval Jayantilal Gada under Pen India Limited. The plot of the movie written by Girish Dhamija and is directed by Deepak Tijori. Based on the 2011 Korean movie Always, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani is slated for a June 10 release. Looks like you'll have many options to choose from!
5. Udta Punjab
Moving on we've the most anticipated movie - Udta Punjab which has been in news for a number of reasons. Estranged lovers Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are coming back together with Udta Punjab after their last successful outing, Jab We Met. However, the two won't have any scenes together in Udta Punjab. In addition, we'll also have Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh showcasing their talent in Udta Punjab. It's a crime thriller based on drugs written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Udta Punjab will hit the screen on June 17.
6. Raman Raghav 2.0
Raman Raghav 2.0 is thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap and is based on the infamous serial killer Raman Raghav who was active in Mumbai during mid-1960s. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen playing the lead, while Vicky Kaushal is seen as the cop. The film was premiered at the Cannes Directors' Fortnight where it won stirring response. Set to release on June 24, the film is expected to create a storm at box office too.
7. 7 Hours to Go
7 Hours To Go is directed by Saurabh Verma and is a quick paced investigative thriller. It is said to be inspired by true events and revolves around a captive crisis and things that happen in the seven hours after that event. It has actors Shiv Pandit and Sandeepa Dhar in leading roles. The film will hit the screens on June 24.
8. Junooniyat
It's a romantic film starring the Sanam Re couple Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam. Hunterrr fame Gulshan Devaiah has a special appearance in the film. It's written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The film will see a June 24 release!
