Sony Xperia XA Gets Released In India!

A few days before, we had reported that Sony was all set to take on the budget smartphone market with its new series - the X family.

The company had revealed releasing a full-fledged range of X Series including - Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance smartphones. The Xperia XA has now officially made it to the Indian market.

It has already got released in China however; the official update about its release in other countries is yet to be given. It is notable that that the X family comprising of Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA Ultra were launched by Sony at Mobile World Congress that was held in February 2016.

Earlier reports had stated that Sony Xperia XA would get launched in India in third week of June. Sony's Xperia XA dual SIM can now be purchased from Amazon India for Rs. 20,990.

Let's here have a look at Sony Xperia XA and see what all features it has to offer.

Xperia XA

Designed to harmonize your life, Xperia XA sports a new look and feel. It has a striking full-width 5.0-inch HD Mobile BRAVIA engine 2 display technology with 1,280x720 pixels (294 ppi pixel density). The display has smooth curled form and a size which just fits perfect.

Xperia XA is going to be available in four colors. You can pick your choice from graphite black, lime gold, rose gold or white. The color will not just cover the back of the device but even its front panels and the color of the screen. The device also has Scratch-resistant glass.

It comes powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6755 Octa-core processor, houses an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 700MHz GPU, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Xperia XA comes packed with a 16GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 200GB through microSd card. It has 2GB RAM, and is powered by a 2300mAh battery.

This mid-range smartphone is touted to b a delight to photography fans. It comes with a 13MP primary camera backed by striking features like 1/3-inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Hybrid Auto-Focus, Quick launch, 5x Clear Image Zoom, HDR photo and Auto-Scene Recognition. For selfies, it has 8MP front-camera with Sony Exmor R for Auto-Focus, mobile sensor, Wide angle lens (88 degree), Low-light photography and HDR photo.

The Xperia XA is going to be available at price of Rs. 20,990 (approximately $310), on the other end, the Xperia X is priced at Rs. 48,990 (approximately $730) in India. But the same is yet to be confirmed and can only be clear once we get hold of more details about the devices from Sony.

So far, the X series does seem to be a great buy. The details currently available are all based on the features as stated by Sony. How well the smartphone series will perform would be judged once it's out in the market.

With this big launch, Sony has now two of its four Xperia X series phones being sold in India – one of its flagships is the Xperia X dual SIM priced at Rs. 48,990 and the other is Xperia XA dual SIM which is available for Rs. 20,990. Its other two models - Xperia X Performance, which happens to be a top-end model with Snapdragon 820, and camera-centric phablet Xperia XA Ultra have been put on the waiting list for now.

X series is certainly pleasing to the eye and reflects class – right from the design to internal specifications, the smartphone sound appealing. But before making a final verdict, let's wait them to hit the market. Stay tuned to get hands on details about X series performance!
