Why Do Yoga Every Day? A Practical Guide to Do Yoga Every Day

New Delhi, Wed, 22 Jun 2016 NI Wire

Yoga is the most powerful organic healing practice if you can practice it regularly. Here we are going to describe some effective yoga postures that can quickly make a turnaround effect in your health.

Seeing the hordes of images posted on Instagram depicting people immersed in yoga poses before mountains, lakes or awesome natural places, yoga seems so enchanting. More than that, these images almost create a baffling impression that people are fit these days. While quite contrary is the case.

Even for a simple boat posture we get all wet in nervous sweats. A simple straight bow posture gets the hell out of us. But why this happens? Why cannot be at complete ease with a simple health knowledge and practice that we can master anytime with a disciplined and consistent effort? The answer is really blowing in the wind my friend. You, me and almost everybody knows the answer.

Yes, even though we know what Yoga can do and how it brings change in our body and mind, we just refuse to get rid of the comforting static inertia that let us sleep extra hours in the morning or the kind of energetic inertia that let us forget everything except the ambitious hurdle race in our workplaces.

So, you have the solution dude and you have the answer. What else can we do? Why all these fusses once again over practicing yoga? Let us come straight, we are here to tell you how with yoga practice itself you can overcome this burdening inertia and find yourself a new life. Rather than just repeating that old stuff about yoga benefits and the respective poses, let us offer some practical yoga solutions for real life situations.

Yoga to de-stress you at workplace

Most people suffer from the workplace stress and gulping down the pressure for days and nights they become a different person altogether. Well, a majority of twenty-first century urban population is a victim of work stress. Do not raise your eyebrow please, I will not suggest you a yoga class.

A simple effective breathing practice sitting right in front of your desktop can bring you total peace of mind and completely make the overstressed nerves relaxed. Take two minutes in between your work. Sit straight, close your eyes, take a deep breath slowly and then exhale the breath slowly taking time. While doing this try to relax your body as much as possible but always sit  in a straight posture.

This is a simple exercise that helps to relax your muscles and joints, calms your nerves and brings clarity of thought. Fresh oxygen allows your brain think more effectively and this breathing exercise just helps to supply enough oxygen to your brain and nervous function. Do the exercise at least for two minutes and repeat it several times a day.

Yoga to get rid of your bulging out belly

Most obese and overweight people accumulate fat primarily in their bellies earlier than anything else. Belly fat does get burned soon with exercise and you need to take strict dieting measures for a quick effect. Feeling exasperated at this bland and cruel truth? Calm down dude, we have real good news for you. Just bring your attention back here.

A simple yoga exercise can flatten your bulky belly in twelve weeks flat. Yes, we are not talking scam, it is a proven fact. No, there is no hidden criterion like fasting or dieting or rigorous exercise schedule. All that you need is to repeat the exercise every day in the morning and evening for 15 minutes each time. Let us describe the posture now.

Lay down flat on your bed. Now bring both hands beside the body and close the gap between legs. Do not stuff your body too much. Now try to lift your head and the legs together while your waist would support the body in the middle and the hands will be straight beside the body. In this way the body posture would look like a boat with the joined legs and the head are two flanks in the opposite sides. The posture would give tremendous pressure to your belly muscles and belly fat will be burned quickly. After 2 minutes of staying in this pose, relax lying flat on the same surface for a minute.

Repeat the exercise several times with 2 minutes of duration for each posture. Engage in this exercise twice daily in early morning and evening. Avoid doing this immediately after consuming food.

Yoga to boost your digestion and metabolism

Our quick-to-bite fast foods, ready to grab packaged foods and all sorts of frozen chilled or microwave heated hot eatables give our stomach enough challenges to cope up with. There is hardly any surprise that in spite of having so much to eat many of us suffer from lack of essential minerals, regular stomach healing enzymes, and nutrients for our bone health. Thanks to our fast paced food habit we suffer prematurely from indigestion and an array of metabolic disorders.

You know what your office canteen serves at lunch and the idea of carrying home cooked foods does not really fit into your lifestyle. We know you can even compromise your health to keep pace with your lifestyle and ambitious rattle-race. But, can you think of anything that silently protects your digestive health without really needing to change your lifestyle? Yes, a simple yoga exercise practiced regularly after meals can take care of all your digestive troubles and metabolism. Do you want to know what it is?

It is called Diamond Pose or in traditional language Vajrasana. It is a simple pose that requires you to sit on your heels while the legs are folded on the surface. Let the toe join together while the heels are spread slightly under your resting hips. Sit erect and place both of your hands on the thighs. Sit in this posture at least for 15 minutes once a day shortly after the meal. If you cannot do the exercise I the day time, do it after your night time meal.
