M.S Dhoni - The Untold Story to now release on 30th September 2016

Mumbai: The much awaited biopic of India's most successful Cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, titled M.S Dhoni - The Untold story is set to now release on the last Friday of September.

The film which was earlier to release on September 2nd 2016, now has a new release date viz. 30th September 2016.

The makers of the film want to deliver the best quality of visual effects to movie going audiences and MSD fans as well as cricket fans across the world and that endeavour is the reason of the postponement.

Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios says, "It was a unanimous decision to release the film on September 30th 2016. This would give the team some more time to present the film to the audiences in the best way. We, in no way wanted to compromise on the visual experience that Neeraj Pandey is set to create with this movie."

Arun Pandey, Chairman of Rhiti Group owned Inspired Entertainment said, "The postponement of the release date by three weeks will only help the post production team to further augment the value proposition of the film.

This is one of the most-awaited films of the year and I am sure fans will understand that the marginal delay will only help enhance the visual experience of the end product."

The teaser of the film has garnered a lot of love and appreciation from the audiences and has also left them intrigued as it showcased the lesser known aspects of Dhoni's life.

The poster of the film too got a thumbs up from the audiences and got curiosity levels high.

M.S Dhoni - The Untold Story features Sushant Singh Rajput essaying Captain Cool.

Helmed by director Neeraj Pandey (Baby, Special 26 and A Wednesday) and produced by Arun Pandey (Inspired Entertainment) and Fox Star studios, the film is one of the most anticipated films of the year.
