Moto G4, Xiaomi Redmi Note or The LeEco Le 2: Find Out Which Smartphone You Should Buy

The love for smartphones is quite evident in India and if it happens to be a budget device, the craze sees no bound. India has indeed turned to be the favorite spot for all budget smartphone makers as every month we've a new flagship being launched here.

Along with efficient, lesser price tag, these mid-range smartphones also offer perfect value for money with finest specifications and immense features. This even makes the budget devices compete against each other and the latest in the brigade are Motorola's Moto G4, LeEco Le 2, Le 1s Eco, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and YU Yunicorn.

At a price bracket of Rs. 15,000, you get a handy device. Moto G4 will release on June 22 and though the price is not yet know, it will surely be less than Moto G4 Plus, which costs Rs. 13,499. So, let us check out the three devices in detail.

Display

To begin with the display, all of them sport 5.5-inch Full HD display where Moto G4 comes protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. Redmi Note 3 has 78-degree viewing angle with Sunlight display tech and night mode. If we talk of display quality, it would be nearly same as the size and display don't vary much.

Processor, RAM and Storage

LeEco Le 2 is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz with 3GB RAM and 32GB eMMC5.1 fixed storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU, along with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. As for Moto G4, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor alongside 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage up to 128GB. So here we can say that Le 2 and Redmi Note 3 boast of better storage and RAM configurations while Le 2 has upgraded chipset.

Camera

Moving to camera, LeEco Le 2 sports 16-MP main camera with features like dual LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and 8MP front-camera for selfies. On the other hand, Redmi Note 3 has 16-MP main camera with features like PDAF, dual ISP, dual-tone LED flash and HDR and 5MP front-camera for selfies that has 36 smart beauty profiles. Moto G4 sports 13 MP main camera with dual LED flash, PDAF, auto HDR and 5MP front camera with wide angle lens..

Battery

Coming to the battery, wehave Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 as the winner because it has the biggest 4,050mAh battery, this as per the claims can last for 14 hours with GPS navigation. The other two devices, LeEco Le 2 and Moto G4 comes with identical 3,000mAh battery and both have fast charging technology.

Software

Other than sharing the same display, they share the same Google Android OS. LeEco Le 2 and Moto G4 own the most recent version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, while Le 2 sports eUI 5.8 skin on top. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has Android 5.1 Lollipop-based MIUI 7. They all have dual SIM and 4G support. Le 2 and Redmi Note 3 come with fingerprint scanners and this feature is not found in Moto G4 lacks that feature. Moreover, Le 2 smartphone is the pioneer in featuring USB Type-C audio port with CDLA standard for lossless audio.

Price & Availability

You can buy LeEco Le 2 in its flash sale on Flipkart and LeMall.com starting from June 28, and registrations for the same have opened. It is priced at Rs. 11,999.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also costs Rs. 11,999 and can be brought from Amazon India and its official site. And as for Moto G4, it will be exclusively available on Amazon.in and price would be revealed soon.
