Cocktail Girl Diana Penty Is Back With Happy Bhaag Jayegi!

The major highlight of the film is the lead actress Diana Penty, who was last seen alongside Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan in Cocktail. Despite the film being a major hit, Diana chose to stay away from silver screen from long time and now has made to return with a bang in Happy Bhaag Jayegi.

Cast
The film stars Diana Penty as the lead actress along with Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Momal Sheikh. Other cast includes Jimmy Shergill, Piyush Mishra, Gaurav Dixit as Dimpy, Lankesh Bhardwaj as Rajinder and acclaimed actor Kanwaljit Singh.
With Happy Bhaag Jayegi, people will not just see Diana but even Abhay after a long time and the fact that their pairing is also fresh makes the film more exciting.
Direction
The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Anand L. Rai and Krishika Lulla. Happy Bhaaj Jayegi happens to be Rai's third collaboration with Eros International post Raanjhanaa (2013) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). It is notable that both of these films were super success and the same can be anticipated for Happy Bhaag Jayegi also.
Plot
Its a cross-border romantic comedy both written and directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film showcases the journey of Happy, a runaway bride played by Diana Penty who crosses the border and lands up in Pakistan to witness some eventful incidents.
Production
Anand L Rai is known for his unique concepts and unusual pairing. He had done the same with successful ventures like Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu. Abhay Deol was the first to be brought onboard for Happy Bhaag Jayegi as he was offered the lead role during the shooting of Raanjhanaa in 2013 as in the film Abhay played a parallel character alongside Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush.
Diana Penty was cast as the female lead in January 2015, and on the same makers had stated that they were looking for more performance oriented actors and this is why they zeroed in Diana. Ali Fazal, known for his role in 3 Idiots and Phukrey was finalized to play a pivotal role in July 2015. Later, in September 2015, the makers roped in Pakistani actress Momal Sheikh to play the second lead in the film. The filming of Happy Bhaag Jayegi started on 17 September 2015 in Amritsar.
Release
The films first look came out on September 30, 2015 and was revealed through the Twitter handle of co-producer Krishika Lulla. Its set for July 15 release but despite the date being so close, we dont have enough information about the film. The trailer is also awaited and we are yet to know about films music
