After Bajrangi and Prem, Salman To Now Win Hearts As Sultan Movie Eid, he is back to enthrall his fans!

A Salman Khan film is always a treat to watch. Last year, Salman ruled box office with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. And this Eid, he is back to enthrall his fans with the much awaited Sultan.

The film is a sports-drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films banner. Salman Khan is playing the lead role of Sultan and is supported by powerful actors like Randeep Hooda, Amit Sadd and Tyron Woodley.

For the first time, Salman would be seen romancing Anushka Sharma, who also plays a female wrestler in the film. Salman is essaying the role of Sultan Ali Khan who encounters personal and professional problems. Sultan showcases the journey of the wrestler from a small town in Haryana to 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, where he wins accolades and moves to 2011 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Istanbul, as well as London Olympics in 2012.

Film Development

The film was announced in June 2015 and a short teaser was released on YouTube. For essaying the role of wrestler, Salman underwent wrestling training from Larnell Stovall. Later on, the film unit got busy in casting actor to play Salman Khan's coach. At first there were rumors of Sylvester Stallone playing the lead. Later, it was reported that Sanjay Dutt would essay the said role.

Finally, the hunt came to an end in December 2015 and Randeep Hooda was brought onboard to play Salman's onscreen coach. Earlier, Amit Sadh, famous for Kai Po Che was expected to be playing the role of younger Sultan. But in March 2016, reports were out of Amit essaying his younger brother.

To make the fights more realistic, the makers have roped in MMA fighter Tyron Woodley whom you'll see undergoing rigorous training.

The makers faced major tussle in casting the female lead. As per director Abbas, he always wanted a fresh pairing alongside Salman. For the same, the makers even tried auditioning many newcomers. However, none of them fit the bill. Finally, the hunt ended on Anushka Sharma, who was signed in January 2016 to play the female lead role opposite Salman Khan. She is playing female wrestler and underwent wrestling lessons for the film.
Film's choreography is done by Farah Khan who was signed in February 2016 and had replaced Vaibhavi Merchant. The former is said to have opted out owing to her personal commitments.

Production

Film's pre-production started in October 2015 with Salman sharing his film look on Facebook. It's principal photography began in December 2015 at N.D Studios, Karjat and JW Marriott Mumbai. The first shooting schedule got over in December 2015 while the second schedule began in January 2016 which basically includes action sequences.

Music

Film's music has been given by Vishal–Shekhar and the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil. Sultan's  soundtrack was released on 31 May 2016. There are total 9 songs in the album sung by Vishal Dadlani,Shalmali Kholgade, Ishita, Badshah, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mika Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Shadab Faridi, Mohit Chauhan, Harshdeep Kaur, Papon, Nooran Sisters, Neha Bhasin and Shekhar Ravijani.
The film's first song as released was Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai and now it's 440 Volt. Both the songs have won hearts and are doing great.

Trailer & Release

Needless to say, Sultan's trailer created a lot of stir and won audience's appreciation. Salman and Anushka's fresh pairing is the USP of the film and the two are looking extremely good together. Sultan is Salman's Eid release and is expected to break all of his previous records.
