The world of smartphones has certainly experienced a revolution of sorts. There was once a time when you couldn't think of buying a smartphone below Rs 15,000 and even if you happened to so by sheer luck, problems like poor camera, slow speed etc were quite common.

However, the scenario has changed completely - courtesy the growing competition in the market. Now there is bounty of choices. With smartphones coming from Indian and international brands, people have a lot to choose from.

This device was launched in November 2015 and owing to its amazing quality, it happens to be among the finest smartphones one can buy under Rs 15,000. It has a 5.5 inch full HD display screen with 1.4 GHz Hexa Core Qualcomm process. It has 2 GB RAM backed by 16 GB internal storage. Coming to the battery, it boasts of a 4,050 mAh battery. At the camera front, it has 16 MP back camera and 5 MP front camera. The one prices 11, 999 has 3 GB RAM along with 32 GB internal storage.

2. Asus Zenfone Max (Rs 9,999)

Asus has succeeded to reach out to wider audience with its decent range of smartphones. Asus ZenFone Max's has 5,000 mAh battery which can keep your phone running for nearly 2 days under ordinary use. This handset can even used as powerbank to charge added devices through ZenFone Max's USB port. It has a 5.5 inch display screen, 2 GB RAM, 1.2 GHz processor and 16 GB internal memory. The phone features 5 MP front and 13 MP rear camera.

3. LeEco Le 1S (Rs 10,999)

Though it was launched in the year 2015, it still stands to be one of the top pick given its powerful performance and vibrant display. LeEco Le 1S has a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera, and has display screen of 5.5 inches in size. We've still months to go as it's just start of May. It would be difficult to say what the coming months will have in store for us as there are a lot many budget smartphones lined up for May release. And there are flagships which would arrive in the next half of the year.

Most likely, we will soon have a new list of top 5 smartphones under Rs 15,000. But so far, these are really the best ones among the lot!
