Kollam temple tragedy in Kerala claims many lives :Chaos all-around

In a shocking incident occurred in the famous Kollam temple in the Kerala, South India, witnessed a major fire broke down due to the crackers incident. The Kollam temple was under the famous seven-day 'Meena Bharani' festivities and it was the last day which turned in a shocking incident.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has expressed shock over the fire tragedy and said he will be reaching Kerala soon to take stock of the situation arising due to the unfortunate tragedy.

It is noted that the mishap happened due to the display of fireworks occurred on the last day of the seven-day 'Meena Bharani' festivities which is the famous festivals for the area. On the seventh day of the famous festival, around thousands of people had gathered at the temple. People were waiting for the prestigious fireworks display underway since midnight.

Meanwhile the fire broke down and it erupted with the massive flame in the temple premises and and the fire crackers kept there exploded with a deafening noise which created panic among the people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to CM Oommen Chandy about the fire at a temple in Kollam. He took the latest developments about the incidents and ordered for arranging for immediate shifting of those critically injured via helicopter.

He also asked Health Minister JPNadda to immediately reach the site of the fire tragedy in Kollam.

PM has announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the fire in Kollam. The PM also announced a solatium of Rs. 50, 000 to those who are injured in the fire.
