The gun battle started between the security forces and the militants in the Anant Nag district of South Kashmir. The security forces first got the information of militants and then surrounded the area.
According to police official, the counter terrorism forces Rashtriya Rifles (RR), the special operation team of State Police and Central Reserve Police Force surrounded the whole area of Alvani village.
According to a police official, “the security forces increased the seige in the area, after that some sound of gun battle was heard but after that no fire exchange seen between forces and militants.
He also said, “we are giving answer to the attacks done by militants and the operation is still on.”
When the official was asked about the group of militants also include Lashkar-e-tayyaba’s divisional commander Abu-djana, he said, “we could not say anything till the operation does not gets completed.”
As you know, the terrorist attack was happened in the area on 18th September in which 18 army men martyred.
After that incident, the Indian security forces performed the surgical strike in which the security forces entered in the PoK and did operation there on 29th September.
