Everyone is guessing on who will take charge of Tata Sons after Cyrus Mistry was outsed last month. Noel Naval Tata ,the half brother of Ratan Tata has emerged as the contender for the top job at Tata Sons.
Mistry was removed after the Tata Sons board lost faith in his leadership. Ratan Tata returned as the interim Chairman for 4 months, a 5-member panel consisting Tata himself along with three others were given task of finding new Chairman for the group .
Noel Tata has been a contender for the the top job for long but his relationship with Ratan Tata has been an issue. Noel Tata has been in board of Titan and Volats and he has been Non Executive Chairman of Tata Investment Corporation since 2010.
Noel Tata and Ratan Tata are son of Naval Tata whereas the later one adopted from an orphanage. Noel Tata is son of Simone Tata who was second wife of Naval Tata. Tata Group has a turnover of 103 Billion Dollar with business ranging from Automobiles, Steel, Salt, Watches and Consultancy Services.
