It is reported that, on the social site Twitter the illegal images of children are circulated and swapping by some of its users to harass or sexually abuse them.

The images of young girls are circulated on Twitter to promote them as child pornography, which are in their school uniforms or in swimsuit and which are harmless; it is said in a report of BBC on Monday.

BBC quoted Joseph Cox, a freelance Journalist who is writing for Motherboard said, “Some have been taken by the girls themselves. It's not clear whether they have then sent them to a boyfriend who's uploaded them... others appear to have been ripped from their social media sites.”

It is also found that some Twitter users are making unrestricted or explicit comment on them and doing trade of these same pictures by asking each other.

When asked from Twitter on this issue it clearly states that its policy on these type of issues when they found any of such content they firstly remove it from their site without any notice and they ban permanently these such users for such of these type of work.

Twitter also stated that they are working with authorities and organisations including the Internet Watch Foundation in the UK to prevent the exploitation of children and also they do not tolerate child sexual exploitation.

In report quoted by an American woman, “There was a minimum 14,000 accounts involved in the creation, distribution or re-tweeting of child porn,” and added that the victims are girls as young as five, and definitely under 15.

A forum called “Jailbait” in 2011 also had similar issues and it was closed by Reddit.

Such type of offences were ridiculous and to prevent these offences are very disgusting.
