'A Tale to Tell' kids carnival opens in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 25 (IANS) It's billed as Mumbai's first kid-sourced event. Yes, you heard that right! Kid-sourced not crowd-sourced!

Learning will no longer be boring thanks to 'A Tale to Tell', a three-day children's festival based on kinesthetic learning that opened on Friday at Kangaroo Kids, Pali Hill.

In kinesthetic learning, students carry out physical activities rather than listen to a lecture or watch a demonstration.

'A Tale to Tell' will introduce children to new-age learning via the world of story telling and fantasy as part of the festival, which explores their creative and innovative progress. It will teach children innovative arts and skills via workshops on painting, puppet making, cognitive-enhancement and much more.

Children can also participate in competitions such as Shadow Play (theater workshop), MasterChef (cupcake making), poetry telling, art activities and the highlight of them all - making a fairy tale character out of waste!

There will be several food pop-ups, sandwich stalls, popcorn and candy floss stalls and much more.

"Explore your inner child as you watch your child at play," the organisers said in a statement.
