All You Need To Know About Google Pixel and Pixel XL

After Nexus device, Google recently announced its Pixel and Pixel XL devices which as per the latest buzz are now available for pre-orders in Indian market. The pre-order is said to happen on October 13.

The devices were unveiled by Google on October 4, and considering the vast smartphone market India houses; the devices have been given the Indian pricing as well. Speaking about the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, Google confirmed that pre-orders would start on October 13, and it would start at a price of Rs 57,000. The devices would be made available in the Indian smartphone stores on October 20, which will be common for other countries also where the smartphone is planning the release. 

Details Of Google Pixel and Pixel XL

With the latest announcement coming from search engine giant, Google, over its smartphones, Apple for sure has some tough competition; especially in the price area. It has been learnt that Pixel device’s 32GB model is available at Rs 57,000 ($649 / £599), whereas its 128GB model comes with a price of Rs 66,000 ($749 / £699). As for Google Pixel XL, its 32GB model is available at Rs 66,000 ($769 / £719) and its 128GB model is priced Rs 76,000 ($869 / £819).

Google Pixel Features 

The all new Google Pixel houses a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen which has 1,080x1,920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density). It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS. At memory front, the device offers two variants 32/128 GB internal memory, with 4 GB RAM. It comes with 2,770mAh battery which has the fast charging technology. The device has 12MP main camera which has f/2.0 aperture, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, phase detection autofocus, 1/2.3" sensor size in addition to 1.55µm pixel size. It houses 8MP front-snapper decked with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 1/3.2" sensor size. 

Google Pixel XL

The Google Pixel XL is a premium model among the two, it comes with 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 1,440x2,560 pixels which has 534 ppi pixel density. It is backed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, and also runs on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.

At storage front, this device also gives two variants; 32/128 GB internal memory, with 4 GB RAM. It houses a 3,450mAh battery which also has the fast-charge technology. Coming to the camera front, it offers 12MP primary camera which has f/2.0 aperture, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, phase detection autofocus, 1/2.3" sensor size along with 1.55µm pixel size. For selfies, the device has 8MP front-camera which comes with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 1/3.2" sensor size.

It has been heard that other than Play Store, Google’s new devices; Pixel and Pixel XL, will be sold in the US market by Verizon also. And in other countries, the sale for Google Pixel and Pixel XL, would be managed by the popualr e-commerce giants such as Telus, Bell, Best Buy, Deutche Telekom, EE, Flipkart, Rogers, and Telstra.
