New Delhi, Mon, 03 Oct 2016 NI Wire

Lenovo has been going strong of late with its amazingly wonderful flagships. Its subsidiary Moto has already launched several flagships, which are indeed doing a great job.

And now Lenovo has come up with the Z2 Plus, which we can easily term as perfect combination of art which stands apart from the general perception that the pricier a device, the better its features. It is notable that Z2 Plus also comes from Lenovo subsidiary brand the ZUK. It was originally released in China as ZUK Z2 in China, but in the Indian market it changed to Z2 Plus.

The Release

Z2 Plus got released in the previous week and the sale began on Amazon India this week. It is available in two models - one is 3GB+32GB for Rs. 17,999 and the other is 4GB+64GB for Rs. 19,999. Also, the device happens to be the cheapest flagship to have Snapdragon 820 processor - a good power-efficient CPU. Let us now have a look at some of its features to understand how the device stands out from the competitors in the market.

Design

Lenovo Z2 Plus sports a striking compact design, and works flawlessly when used single handedly. The design comes as simple, graceful and looks classy. It features a glossy rear panel with matte finish across the borders.

Specifications & Camera

The Z2 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, paired with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM which facilitates multi-tasking and smoothly performs the power-draining functions. At the camera front, Z2 Plus has a 13MP main camera which has f/2.2 aperture, ISOCELL sensor, 1.34µm pixels, EIS, LED flash, PDAF+CAF (0.1 seconds autofocus) along with a 5 physical lens. For selfies, it has 8MP front camera which has 78.9 degree wide angle lens in addition to larger f/2.0 aperture.

Z2 Plus' home button serves multi-functional operations. The home button is also known as the U-Touch, and comes with seven dissimilar integrated gestures.

The device also has a wonderful stereo that happens to be clear, reasonable and remarkable. Also, those who are the health freaks can take benefit from Lenovo's U health app that has been designed to monitor the steps, distances as well as calories, and interestingly; it doesn't even strain the battery.

At the software front, the device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with ZUI 2.0 skin. Its UI is snappy and lag-free. Coming to the battery, it has 3,500mAh battery backed by Quick Charge 3.0. It can be predicted that the device can easily handle heavy usage and multiple functions. Z2 Plus also brings in an important aspect to sustain its battery cycles. It does it by switching to the AC power mode when the device reaches full charge.
For the starts, the device does appear to be one promising flagship and we can expect the device to give the other flagships a solid run for their money.

Let us wait for the device's full review to reach so that it can be clear whether Z2 Plus is actually a winner or not!
