Chandigarh, Oct 26 (IANS) Haryana will be the first state in the country to give the benefit of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations to its employees from January 1, 2016, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Wednesday.

He said that the Haryana employees will get the benefit from the date from which the employees of the central government have been given its benefit.

"The Haryana government has decided in principle to grant the benefit of revised pay package to its employees broadly on the pattern of the pay package extended by the central government to its employees based on the recommendations of the 7th CPC," Khattar told the media here after a cabinet meeting.

The Haryana cabinet on Wednesday considered and approved the report of the committee for implementation of recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

The Chief Minister said that the contractual employees like Anganwadi workers and data entry operators and those engaged under the outsourcing policy would also be benefited in the same proportion in which the other employees would get the benefit of the CPC.
