Mumbai, Oct 21 (IANS) Vidhu Vinod Chopra is impressed with the trailer of Aamir Khan's film "Dangal". The filmmaker says Aamir is excelling himself as an artiste in the forthcoming biographical sports drama.
"I watched the trailer and I think it's incredible. I really like Aamir as an actor. He is excelling himself," said Chopra, who produced Aamir-starrers "PK" and "3 Idiots".
He added: "Aamir is a crazy person. We call him an idiot. Only an idiot can do a film like this."
Chopra expressed his views about "Dangal" when he attended the 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival with the superstar here.
Nitesh Tiwari's film sees Aamir portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. Geeta was India's first female wrestler to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she clinched the gold medal while Babita won the silver.
Aamir plays both the younger and older characters of Phogat in the film. "Dangal" is scheduled to release on December 23.
