Fraud accused Nigerians now booked for invalid passports

Panaji, Oct 21 (IANS) Two Nigerian nationals arrested in Delhi by the Goa Police earlier this month for cheating via social media, have now also been booked for possessing invalid visas and passports, a police spokesperson said on Friday.

Okinawa Nicodemus and Chukwuma Collins, both temporarily residing in Delhi, were booked under relevant sections of the Foreigners Registration Act and the Passports Entry Act on Friday.

The duo was booked after Goa Police Cyber Cell found their passports and visas invalid after verification. Ther police were already investigating the two in a cheating case.

The two Nigerian nationals were earlier arrested for duping an Indian Army colonel's wife based in Goa of around Rs 8 lakh by befriending her on Facebook.
