Bhubaneswar, Oct 19 (IANS) Odisha police on Wednesday issued a Look Out notice against SUM Hospital founder Manoj Nayak and his wife to ensure that they do not flee the country.

Manoj Nayak owns the hospital where 21 people died in a fire on Monday evening.

"In connection with a FIR lodged with Khandagiri police station, a look out circular (LOC) has been issued in respect of Manoj Nayak and Saswati Das," said Police Commissioner Y.B. Khurania.

Both are the trustees of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan Charitable Trust, which runs the hospital.

The state government has already lodged two FIRs against the hospital management citing negligence in terms of fire safety and evacuation of patients during the mishap.

Director of Medical Education and Training Prakash Chandra Mohapatra hinted that the owner of the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospitals could be arrested.

"As we have filed a case against the management of the SUM hospital, there is a chance of arrest of Manoj Nayak, who is also a member of the management," said Mohapatra.

Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is in New Delhi to attend an event, said the state government would take stringent action against the culprits.

The Commissionerate Police have arrested four persons so far in connection with the fire tragedy.

Medical Superintendent Pusparaj Samantasinghar, former Executive Engineer Amulya Kumar Sahu (electrical maintenance), Fire Safety Officer Santosh Das and retired Junior Engineer Malay Kumar Sahu (electrical maintenance) were arrested on Tuesday.
