New Delhi, 20 August 2015: For the upcoming 7th Women's Junior Asia Cup 2015, the women team's preparation is on full swing at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. After finishing third in the recently concluded, Volvo Invitational U-21 (Women) Tournament 2015, the Junior Indian eves are working hard to eliminate the loop-holes in the defence-line and penalty corner area. Among the defenders, drag-flicker Jaspreet Kaur is improving her defence and tackles to increase her contribution towards the team. She has been an integral part of the team and has proved her mettle during the Volvo Invitational U-21 where she scored brilliant goals.

Speaking on India Junior Women Team's preparation, Jaspreet Kaur said, “Our team played brilliantly during the Volvo invitational U-21 tournament and we have gained good amount of experience from the tournament. We played as a unit and our captain Rani Rampal played a major role in binding us together. She has good leadership qualities and she guides us, both on-field as well as off-field. Playing with her has helped every member in the team, as we get to learn from her experience and her quality of giving that extra surprise to the opponents. The team is working on its penalty corners and our defence chain where closing the gaps is the focus.''

The 7th Women's Junior Asia Cup 2015 gives an opportunity to direct entry in the FIH Junior World Cup (Women) 2017. The upcoming tournament will be played from 5th September to 13th September 2015 in Changzhou, China. Total nine Junior Asian teams will participate in this prominent tournament.
