Google Doodle Celebrates India's 69th Independence Day by displaying the Dandi March of 1930 on the home page of the Goolge Search.
Today is the India's 69th Independence Day and Google today posted a doodle on its home page featuring the Dandi March of 1930. The Dandi March of 1930 was a significant moment in India's fight for freedom from the British Rule.
During the Dandi March of 1930 Seventy-eight Congress volunteers and the Dandi March covered the 240-mile.
In the Google Doodle picture Mahatma Gandhi was show as leading the March. In the picture one can see Mahatma Gandhi clad in khadi white clothes and leading the Dandi March. Mahatma Gandhi is with some of his followers in traditional dresses.
The Dandi March was began on 12 March 1930 led by Mahatma Gandhi and this movement was an important part of the Indian independence movement. This movement is also known as Salt Satyagraha and this movement was nonviolent protest against the British salt monopoly in colonial India.
Last year Google Doodle displayed the India's first stamp on its home page.
