Trailer of Jaanisaar launched by Muzaffar Ali, Meera Ali, Pernia Qureshi and Imran Abbas

Trailer of the upcoming movie Jaanisaar is launched by Muzaffar Ali, Meera Ali, Pernia Qureshi and Imran Abbas.

Meera Ali and Kotwara Studio's 'Jaanisaar' is a spectacular period drama set in the pre-independence era and showcases a love story featuring Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas, along with the veteran filmmaker Muzaffar Ali in a pivotal role.

From sets to costumes, drama to music, opulence is attached to everything that Muzaffar Ali does, and that's what Kotwara Studio's Jaanisaar boasts of! The trailer of Ali's magnum opus was launched amidst a packed house by producer Meera Ali, director Muzaffar Ali and actors Pernia Qureshi and Imran Abbas.

The movie marks the comeback of legendary filmmaker Muzaffar Ali, who gave Indian cinema the Rekha-starrer cult classic Umrao Jaan three decades ago. Jaanisaar features the famous heartthrob of Pakistani films, Imran Abbas and marks the big Bollywood debut of renowned fashion entrepreneur Pernia Qureshi.

Says producer Meera Ali, “We are happy to bring Jaanisaar to cinemas on August 21, 2015. The film showcases interesting aspects of pre-independence era of 1857 which we feel our own people need to get acquainted with. With his extensive research and imagination, Muzaffar Ali has beautifully woven real incidents with a fantastic love story.”

Talking about the film says director Muzaffar Ali, “People have been asking me why I have not been making films. But the fact is that I only wanted to direct a movie that would touch my soul as a filmmaker and also showcase my creativity. Jaanisaar is that film.”

Produced by Kotwara Studio's, Meera Ali and directed by Muzaffar Ali, Jaanisaar starring Pernia Qureshi and Imran Abbas is scheduled to release August 21, 2015.
