49 Days of Inefficient Administration: Satish Upadhya

New Delhi, Fri, 03 Apr 2015 NI Wire

New Delhi, 3rd April. Delhi Government today completed its 49 days in office. Delhi BJP President Shri Satish Upadhyay has said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has himself given a lot of importance to his earlier 49 days stint in Govt. Therefore it is natural that we compare his present 49 days tenure with the earlier one. The comparison brings out one similarity in both i.e. people being duped by false promises.

Shri Kejriwal on both occasions came to power on the promise of reducing power tariff to half and free water for all but like in his earlier stint this time too he has played a game of statistics.

Shri Kejriwal once in power has again forgotten his promise of making Power Discoms to reduce the tariff to half. Instead within days of power he gave huge amount as subsidy to Discoms. During his last tenure at least 70% consumers got some benefit of subsidy but this time hardly 25% of consumers are getting benefitted thanks to his jugglery of 400 units.

Similarly, in the matter of free water too it is just an illusion as the limit of 670 ltrs. per day has ensured that the benefit is restricted to only 25% of metered consumers. The 49 days Govt. has not even initiated a discussion to provide potable water lines for 70% of the population of Delhi which lives in unauthorised colonies, villages & JJ clusters.

Shri Upadhyay has said during 49 days no new development work has been started and corruption the focal point of AAP campaign continues as before even as the Government sits upon the appointment of Lokayukta. The only visible activity of Shri Kejriwal's regime is his master blows to his senior party colleagues.
