Farmer suicide: BJP shoots 11 Questions for CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, 24th April: Delhi BJP President Shri Satish Upadhyay addressing a Press Conference today said the conditional apology presented by the Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal over the suspicious death of his party worker and farmer Gajender has brought out the horrifying face of the Chief Minister before the people. MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri and BJP National Secretary Sardar RP Singh were also present in the PC.

Sh. Upadhyay said that when a farmer dies under suspicious circumstances in the presence of a chief minister its media coverage is natural. Chief Minister's statement that a game of T.R.P. & melodrama is going on is not only condemnable but a shame on humanity. The way Chief Minister stayed away from the people & media for 3 days to avoid speaking on a mishap which happened in his presence raises a query Why Was The C.M. Staying Away ?

Sh. Upadhyay said that for Aam Aadmi Party the issue of farmers is nothing but a opportunity to do dirty politics. They first tried to mislead the farmers of Delhi and now to politically grow tried to enter the rural politics through farmers issue of compensation etc.Three weeks ago at a rally in Mundka the Chief Minister announced a compensation of Rs. 20000 per acre but till date let alone compensation reaching the farmers even the necessary survey work has not started. Even as the C.M. is earning cheap publicity through huge compensation hoardings put up at exchequer's cost.

Sh. Upadhyay said that it is Sh. Arvind Kejriwal's nature to first do things his own dirty way and later when things go disarray he apologises feigning innocence. The words of his today's apology & criticism of media role come out as a shameful conditional apology.

A mere apology in the matter will not suffice Sh. Arvind Kejriwal needs to answer the nation's queries in the matter. There are several questions which he needs to answer.

• Mr. Chief Minister you speak of doing Dialogue with people on every issue will you tell the people what effort you as an individual made to save the dying farmer, did you engage him in any Dialogue?
• Mr. Chief Minister till last night you party leaders were accusing the police and media of negligence while today you have absolved Delhi Police - whom do we believe your party men or you?
• Mr. Chief Minister Delhi Police FIR in the matter says that the policemen on duty requested the stage to direct the volunteers to stop clapping and sloganeering - you were yourself present on the dais, please tell is this true?
• Mr. Chief Minister the FIR says that even as you sat on the dais first your workers stopped emergency vehicles from entering and later obstructed the path of exit. This is not only a matter of FIR people of the country have themselves seen this happening on TV screens - Please tell did this not happen?
• Mr. Chief Minister in your presence your colleague on the dais Kumar Vishwas said “Latak Gaya” (Hanged) - Nation wants to know what did he mean by saying this, did he have prior knowledge of hanging?
• Mr. Chief Minister even as the farmer was hanging your MLA Ms. Alka Lamba informed you of the farmer's death and paid condolence even before formal announcement of his death - How did she know that the farmer has died?
• Mr. Chief Minister your MLA Shri Somnath Bharti issued a tweet in the context of farmer's death which he later withdrew - Why did he have to withdraw it?
• Mr. Chief Minister media and the dead farmer's family have indicated that Shri Gajender was in regular touch of your Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia - Will you direct him to co-operate in Delhi Police investigation?
• Mr. Chief Minister one of your senior leaders Ashutosh has shamefully said that whenever next a farmer climbs a tree, I will ask Arvind to climb up and save him - Do you condemn the statement of Shri Ashutosh?
• Mr. Chief Minister your party leaders keep giving contradictory statements on the dead farmer, some call him a farmer others a turban dealer - why this contradiction?
• Mr. Chief Minister in your conditional apology you have said that all the hue & cry is media's game of TRP - do you still standby your statement and if so then please tell - did you expect the media to act as a silent spectator in the matter of foul death of farmer Shri Gajender?
