Lahore blasts: Suicide bombers kill 15 people outside churches, 80 injured

In a shocking incident, 14 people killed and about 80 wounded in two bomb blast outside two churches in the Pakistani city of Lahore today. A Pakistani Taliban splinter group claimed responsibility.

According to media reports, Islamist militants in Pakistan have attacked Christians and other religious minorities often over the last decade or more. The entire area is surrounded by christians community.

The blast blasts occurred minutes apart in a majority Christian suburb of the eastern city. It has been said that it seemed they targeted two churches, one Catholic and one Protestant, that are very close to each other.

Sources said that the site was looking very fearful and dreaded after the incident which was accompanied by the rescue operation. Just after the incident, people team reached the spot and it was several people lying in a pool of blood and limbs were scattered all around.
