Bollywood, Sun, 14 Sep 2014 NI Wire

The Movie Finding Fanny is already released in the box office last Friday. Here is the review of the Movie Finding Fanny.

What should be the perfect way to describe this superb romantic satire set on the picturesque countryside of Goa? Is it a touchingly lovable tale that makes a perfect mix of nostalgia, memory of love with dramatic twists and turns or is it a movie that can claim to be a perfect acting show with great screen performers giving their best though not surpassing the boundary of the demands of characters? Whatever way you describe this Naseeruddin Shah enacted cinematic tale, it deserves some applause. Findfing Fanny is made in both English and Hindi. Released on 11th September this Homi Adajania directed movie garnered already enough media attention and audience hype thanks to a heart aching sensitive story told in a realistic fashion with actors and actresses putting their best. Finding Fanny is not just worth watching, it is a must watch movie if you like sensitive stuff.

Storyline

Actually the movie tells the story of a bygone love and its eventual return with splendid realistic details. In the quaint countryside of Goa, in a village named Pocolim five characters come into contact with each other with a sudden development of events. The village life goes by as quiet as ever without much incidents to talk off except same old everyday duties and talks. One night an old postman named Ferdie (enacted by Naseeruddin Shah) discovers a letter under the door and while looking at it bemused he realized that the letter was written by him 46 years ago to his beloved girl Stefanie (colloquially Fanny). Then shockingly enough he realized that the letter was never been delivered and it is now that he got his hands on it just as a matter of chance. For the better part of his life he had the impression that Stefanie (Fanny) had rejected him. Now looking fresh at this shocking truth he would decide to find Fanny. Now some village people join Ferdie in his mission to find Fanny showing different reasons publicly. Actually everyone wanted to have some kind of relief from their mundane life and this mission presented them that rare occasion. This mission of finding fanny ultimately changes life of everyone in some way. For the audience funny and eventful journey is a superb source of entertainment with an array of twists and turns.
