For better administrative control and performance in Trade and Taxes Department, the newly created blocks provided with the existing system of wards, is receiving overwhelming response. The Commissioner, Trade and Tax, Amit Yadav said that the new system of blocks have been yielding overwhelming response apart from increasing the efficiency of the officers/officials.
Shri Yadav clarified that creating blocks for administrative and functional needs, in the existing system has no extra financial burden on the government and is adding to efficiency of the officers/officials deployed for performing their duties.
Shri Yadav further said that there are 10 zones and 106 wards operational in the Trade and Tax Department. Now, with the existing system the provision of creating blocks have also been provided for better administrative and functional control. 01 Zone has been provided with 08 Blocks and 10 Zones will have 80 Blocks. 1 extra Zone will deal with the matters TAN Dealers.
He informed that the Addl. Commissioners/Joint Commissioners of concerned Zone are making necessary arrangements for placing the VATO/AVATO and other staff according to requirements of blocks.
Further, they are also free to create Blocks IX and X Additional Blocks for any Special category of dealers within their respective zones, if required.
Shri Yadav informed that last week Value Added Tax Inspectors (VATIs) visited the various premises and 129 bogus/high risk dealers with bogus declared turnover of Rs.5025.55 cr. for the year 2013-14 were intensified and registration certificates of such dealers cancelled.
