ICICI Bank, India's largest private sector bank, today organized a Coin Exchange Mela at its Mall Road Branch in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India.
Mr Umesh Rastogi, President, Kanpur Kapada Committee, Mr Satya Narayan Singhania, President, Akhil Bhartiya Marvadi Sammeylan and Dr Dhiraj Anand, Director, Dr Shyam Manohar Arya public school graced the inauguration.
The mela was organised to offer free facilities of exchanging currency notes with coins to the general public as well as provide fresh currency notes in exchange for soiled and mutilated ones. This is a much-awaited event that receives an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life.
The event saw participation of more than 50 customers, where the branches exchanged coins and currency notes worth Rs 26,000 comprising of coins of denomination Rs 10 and Re 1.
