LG constitutes expenditure Finance Committee of the government of NCT

The Lt. Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung has constituted Expenditure Finance Committee of the Government of NCT of Delhi. Chief Secretary of Govt of Delhi Shri S. K. Srivastava has been appointed as chairman of the seven member committee. Pr. Secretary Finance and Planning Dr. M. M. Kutty, Pr. Secretary PWD Shri Arun Baroka, Pr. Secretary and Secretary of the concerned Department, Head of Department of the concerned Department, Director Planning Shri B. K. Sharma and Dy. Secretary Finance (Infrastructure) have been appointed as members of the committee.

The committee will concur sanctions of Expenditure on Schemes-Projects-Capital works relating to construction of roads, flyovers, footover bridges, subways, school buildings, hospital buildings etc. up to value of Rupees 100 crores. As per limits fixed for concurring expenditure on capital works, the HOD of the concerned department is competent to concur expenditure sanctions for capital works up to Rupees 05 crores, for more then 05 crores, Finance Department is competent to concur expenditure sanctions worth Rs. 10 crores for capital works, while more then 10 crores and up to 100 crores, then the projects need concurrence of Expenditure Finance Committee since this committee is empowered to concur expenditure sanctions up to Rupees 100 crores for the projects of capital works.

The capital works involving expenditure of more than 100 crores value, such projects need concurrence of cabinet and if cabinet is not in existence then such products need concurrence of Lt. Governor, since he is the competent authority.
