West Bengal chief minister Banerjee has rubbishing reports that jungle safaris in the northern part of West Bengal are no longer operational. Commenting on the issue, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed some media houses for 'spreading lies.'
Talking to media persons in Jalpaiguri, she said, "Some media houses are spreading lies that jungle safari has been shut down in north Bengal. It is absolutely wrong. It is a deliberate attempt to malign...you can check the records."
Banerjee, who is on an official trip to north Bengal, surveyed the areas where the government can develop tourism infrastructure.
The Trinamool Congress supremo also announced plans to set up a financial directorate exclusively for north Bengal.
